You may be avoiding a visit to the dentist because you have no pain, but the real reason may be because of a past negative dental experience. Your avoidance of the dentist is not your fault and now you are afraid.
You are afraid that you will be made to feel guilty for not going, embarrassed because of the condition of your teeth or you are just afraid of what the dentist is going to do.
Then there is the fear of the lecture you may receive about your lack of dental care.
But the longer you wait, the more fear you may have of unknown serious dental conditions or you may even end up with a painful toothache. Then you cannot sleep, have to miss work, and cannot eat the foods you love.
